Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 22 December 2025: Yas Marina, part of Yas Asset Management, a Miral Group company, has been awarded and is currently the only harbour in the UAE to hold all ISO 13687 - 1, 2, and 3 certifications, which are international standards for marina quality, safety, and service excellence. It involves the provision of self-owned property management services, marina management, and operations of marine, sports clubs, ships, and yacht management.
ISO 13687 levels 1, 2, and 3 are internationally recognised standards that set comprehensive requirements for commercial and non-commercial leisure crafts, covering infrastructure, environmental management, safety, and high-level serviced marinas for recreational boating. These certifications represent the highest global service benchmark for yacht harbours and marinas, and achieving level 3 signifies full compliance with the most stringent criteria, positioning a marina among the world’s premier destinations.
Additionally, as part of Yas Asset Management’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, Yas Marina has deployed DPOL, an autonomous waste-collection robot. The DPOL operates independently to collect floating waste day and night with minimal human intervention. Built from marine-grade aluminium and designed with a robust, low-tech system, the robot adapts to water movements and performs reliably in all weather conditions. Its simple dual-flow design prevents clogging and enables continuous operation, helping Yas Marina save time while maintaining a clean, sustainable marine environment.
